Theo Ratliff

Theo Ratliff

Theo Ratliff established himself as one of the NBA’s premier shot blockers. The 18th player picked in the 1995 NBA Draft, Ratliff played both forward and center for the Pistons and averaged one block for every 11.2 minutes of action. He led the team in blocks for the second year in a row in 1996-97 when he started half of the 76 games he played.

After ranking 19th in the NBA in shot blocking during his first two seasons (1.55 and 1.46 bpg), he climbed to fourth in the league in rejections in 1997-98, swatting away 3.15 shots per game in a season split between Detroit and Philadelphia. He climbed to third in the NBA in shot blocking in 1998-99, achieving 2.98 bpg, and helping the Sixers make the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons. D'lisha Jones

DeLisha Jones

In the history of the WNBA, there has been no other athlete quite like DeLisha Milton-Jones. During her long-standing WNBA career, she played more games than any other athlete to date (499 regular season games and 50 playoff games), was a three-time All-Star, and holds 2 WNBA championships. To add, she is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and has won numerous FIBA (International Basketball Federation) medals as a member of the USA Women’s Basketball National Team. DeLisha’s passion as an athlete and her love for the sport took her overseas, where she played for many years during her off-seasons for leagues in Turkey, the Czech Republic and Spain. While overseas, she also led her teams to championships, was selected to play in the EuroLeague All-Star Game, and received numerous achievements. During her basketball career, she’s torn her ACL and MCL, ruptured her Achilles tendon, suffered a concussion, and still managed to stay in the game longer than any other female basketball player. In 2016, she retired from the WNBA and took a position as an assistant coach at Pepperdine University, where she will now lead the next generation of athletes.
